Eurotrash, the highly anticipated second phase of Lazarides' four-show pop up extravaganza kicked off this weekend with a preview party at the Beverly Hills gallery. Art fans, collectors, artists and press poured through the doors all night long, eager for a sneak peek at what's bound to be another successful show for the London-based gallery. The unsuspecting space, smack-dab in the middle of one of LA's largest retail districts provides the perfect backdrop for Vhils' chipped wall portraits; JR's monumental, monochromatic wheat pasted photographs; Conor Harrington's historical, graffiti-spattered canvases; and Antony Micallef's sexual and animalistic compositions. Together, the artists have forged an experience that not only explores Europe's urban dynamic and unconventional art-making techniques, but real humanist conflict and social awareness. Eurotrash runs through June 27
