Showing alongside Jeff Soto's "Lifecycle" show at Jonathan Levine Gallery, (check out our coverage here) is the latest offering of paintings and drawings from Hi-Fructose favorite Dave Cooper (HF Vol. 1 and 7). While big-eyed naked women fighting, fucking, and bending themselves into positions a Kamasutrist contortionist could only imagine, serves as captivating subject matter to say the least, Cooper's unique vision of the human form, eerie underwater-esque backdrops, and masterful oil techniques have led to a near cult following of his work (prominent Cooper collectors include David Cronenberg and Guillermo del Toro).

More compelling than a gruesome car accident, Cooper's "Mangled" is now on view till the 24th of July, check out our photos from the opening night below.
