The work of Cristina Natsuko Paulos recently caught our eye over at La Luz De Jesus Gallery in Los Angeles. Her latest showing, "Intrinsic Duality" is a look into the lives of her Twins characters, a dyad originally created as an early animation experiment. Perhaps it is the character's relationship to the artist as both animated and still figures, the natural conjugated state of twins, or Paulos' bi-racial background (half Japanese, half Portuguese) that has led to her unique voice and theme for her current show.
