Hi-Fructose is proud to present a first look at the latest painting from Joe Sorren.  In Kirsten Anderson's interview with Sorren back in Hi-Fructose Volume 13, Anderson wrote: "Sorren is reverentially mentioned in the same breath as his contemporaries, artists who hover at the top of their field, yet he also seems to be a bit of an outsider...  He exhibits (very successfully), but at his own pace and he remains a bit elusive, following his own whims rather than the frenetic pace the art world ceaselessly churns at.”

The artist's persistence and pace have led to a stunning and comprehensive body of work over the last decade, much of which will be on display as the artist opens his first museum show in November at Cal State Fullerton's Grand Central Arts Center.  "Interruption" will feature ten new paintings, a retrospective of work from the past decade culled from numerous private collections, a subsequent book release, as well as a second showing in Sorren's hometown of Flagstaff, AZ at the Coconino Center for the Arts.  To get a more detailed view of the new painting, click here.
